In Northern Alberta, Nunee Health Board Society is integral part of the community of Fort Chipewyan, commonly known as Fort Chip. Nestled on the southwest shore of Lake Athabasca, Fort Chip was established as a trading post in 1788 and is one of the oldest settlements in Alberta.  It is a northern community and can only be accessed by plane or boat in the summer and by a winter road in the winter.  There are regular flights from either Edmonton or Fort McMurray.

Fort Chip has about 1,000 residents. Many of the residents are Mikisew Cree First Nation, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation and Fort Chipewyan Metis.  It has two grocery stores, a recreational center with a pool, a museum, and elementary and secondary schools.

Nunee Health Board Society is seeking a Conference Planner to join our team in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta.
Reporting to the Mental Wellness Manager, the Conference Planner will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of a Wellness Conference in Fort Chipewyan, AB. This term position will ensure flawless execution of the event that align with Nunee Health Board Society’s mission, while fostering engagement, creating a strong sense of community and enhancing community wellness.
